Born and raised in Napa, I came to Baton Rouge for school.
I didn’t always know I wanted to be an accounting major; I began college as a General Business major. I was planning to eventually narrow my focus of study after completing prerequisite courses such as marketing, finance, and accounting.
However, during my second semester, I took my first accounting class and immediately fell in love with it. It was the first subject that felt both challenging and genuinely enjoyable. For the first time, I experienced a course that truly clicked. Shortly after that semester, I changed my major from General Business to Accounting.
As I progressed through my academic journey, I decided to pursue the 150-hour CPA track and add a second degree to meet the necessary requirements. I chose Information Systems as my second major, allowing me to stay current with evolving technologies while developing a strong understanding of the systems that drive today’s business world.
Outside of academics, I enjoy spending time on hobbies that keep me both creative and active. When I’m back in California, I love snowboarding in Lake Tahoe during the winter. In the summer, I enjoy surfing in Bodega Bay with my dad and brother, as well as camping at Lake Shasta. I also love playing Minecraft with my friends and cousins.
