Our Qualifications
Jason Rainier, owner of Rainier Wealth Planning, has earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Practitioner certification and is affiliated with Sagemark Consulting, a division of Lincoln Financial Advisors Corp., a broker-dealer (member SIPC) and registered investment advisor. He holds the Series 7 and 66 registrations as well as life, health, and accident insurance licenses.
Jason graduated in 2004 from the Louisiana State University EJ Ourso College of Business with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management. He successfully completed the CFP Certification Education Program through the College for Financial Planning in 2013. He is also a long standing member of multiple professional organizations.
Jason is very involved in the Baton Rouge community having served as a director on multiple boards for local not-for-profit organizations. Jason, his wife and three children are also long-time members of the South Baton Rouge Church of Christ.
Laura Rainier, wife of Jason, specializes in life, health, and accident insurance analysis.
She holds a Series 7 registration and her life, health, and accident insurance licenses. She graduated from Louisiana State University in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.
In addition to her insurance expertise, she is the backbone of the practice providing vital support with administrative needs, marketing & social media, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring that compliance guidelines are met. She worked at a mechanical engineering firm for many years prior to joining Rainier Wealth Planning, so in addition to being detail oriented, she is excellent at problem solving and working under a time crunch.
National Planning Team Members
Tim Johnson, JD* is Chief Investment Strategist for Lincoln Financial Advisors. Specialties include fixed-income, equity allocations, alternative investments and affluent wealth management. He serves as Chairman of both the Manager Selection Committee and Investment Policy Committees.
Tim worked for NYSE member firms in several positions. He has held the position of manager of arbitrage trading. Tim specialized in debt, convertible and risk arbitrage analysis and trading for the firm's principal account. He has also worked in municipal finance, arranging municipal and private-use bond issues relating to arbitrage and investment strategies in bond issue proceeds. Proceeds of these issues were generally ten million dollars and greater.
In addition, Tim served as sole portfolio manager of a registered, diversified equity mutual fund. Tim managed all aspects of the fund's research and trading functions.
Tim received his BA in Political Science from Lipscomb University in 1981. Tim graduated from Vanderbilt University Law School in 1985. He received his Series 7 in 1982.

D. Wiley Moody joined Lincoln Financial Advisors in May of 2004, where he began his work in the areas of financial planning and operations. Wiley studied under LFA's Chief Investment Strategist, and was promoted to Director of Financial Planning in 2009. Currently, Wiley services clients all over the United States in the high net worth marketplace.
Additionally, Wiley is a member of the Investment Steering Committee, and is one of the forefront individuals involved with Lincoln's Investment Steering List and Policy. He is deeply involved in various other committees that help Lincoln Financial Advisors planners further their knowledge of the industry as a whole, and keep recent on trends and movements in the markets.
As a member of the Planning Department, Wiley is also knowledgeable in the areas of cash flow management, investment planning, retirement planning, personal risk management, life insurance, estate planning, and business succession.
Wiley received his BBA in Accounting from Middle Tennessee State University.
Ben T. Huddle, CFP®, CRPC is a Director of Financial Advisory Services for Lincoln Financial Advisors. As head of the National Planning Team's Wealth Management discipline, he is responsible for the development, training, and implementation of fee-based financial planning with a focus on retirement transition planning. This includes oversight of the Social Security Resource Team.
In addition to his involvement in both case design and as a consultant to financial advisors locally, regionally, and nationally, Ben is active as a speaker/trainer for Lincoln Financial Advisors across the country. He is a committee member of LFN University and currently serves on the faculty at Planning Forum, Fall Focus, the Premier Partners Meeting, The Exchange, Masters Series, and The Resource Group.
Since joining Lincoln Financial Advisors in 1996, Ben has focused on wealth accumulation, distribution, and preservation for wealthy executives and professionals. His experience also includes over a decade in the banking industry serving the needs of an exclusive high net worth clientele in private banking and corporate structured finance.
Ben received his Masters in Business Administration from The University of Houston and a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Management from Purdue University. He also maintains his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM Professional certification and Chartered Retirement Planning designation.
John Schatz, CRPC® joined Lincoln Financial Advisors in 2000. John is currently a Director of Financial Planning. John not only works with planners within his offices, but also nationally with planners and managers throughout Lincoln Financial Advisors. John has also been in private practice since 2002. He specializes in investment and estate planning for the affluent.
John is currently serving on several Advisory Boards for Lincoln including the Investment Steering List Committee, and the Investment Strategy Group (ISG). One area (among many others) that John provides invaluable investment planning expertise is private REITS.
John graduated from The Ohio State University in 2000 with a degree in Family Resource Management.
